Maria Cozzi is a producing member of Elephant Eye Theatrical, a production company that develops event-type musicals for Broadway. Based in Chicago, Elephant Eye produced The Addams Family which opened on Broadway at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in 2010. In addition to the national tour, the The Addams Family will soon be seen in South America, Australia, London and Mexico City. Elephant Eye is currently developing Beauty, Bruce Lee and Venice.

 

Ms. Cozzi produced two new plays Off-Broadway: Lanie Robertson’s Woman Before a Glass starring Mercedes Ruehl, in 2005; and Joanna Glass’s Trying, which won Chicago's Joseph Jefferson Award for Best Play, in 2004. In 2005, she also produced Bread by Margaret Hunt in Italian at the Teatro dell’ Orologio in Rome.

 

In addition to producing Maria Cozzi has written several award winning screenplays. Fin Chaser was a finalist at the The Sundance Institute Screenwriter’s Lab; Love Scores was a finalist at the Beverly Hills Film Festival. She is currently working on a comedy, You Gotta Have Faith.
